TIES staff are committed to excellence in teaching and the pastoral care of their students. Our team consists of dynamic and motivating educators who are also native speakers and university graduates. TIES teachers are involved in ongoing professional development programs to ensure TIES teaching standards and practices are the best.
To ensure that the best possible practices occur at TIES our teachers are university qualified with teaching experience and appropriate TESOL qualifications. We employ a wide demographic of teachers including those with many years of teaching experience and fresh university graduates ready to begin their careers. This diversity is important and creates a unique learning environment.
Kit Perry
My name is Kit Perry and I'm the Director of Townsville International English School (TIES). I also teach at TIES as I am passionate about teaching and enjoy taking part in each aspect of my school. When my partner Yvette Remilton and I began planning TIES in 2007 we made a strategic plan of what we wanted at TIES. We both come from teaching backgrounds in various situations and therefore could see what works well and what doesn't.
The best part of my job is meeting amazing people from such diverse backgrounds and helping them to improve their English.
Yvette Remilton
My name is Yvette Remilton and I'm the Academic Director of Townsville International English School (TIES). Kit and I started TIES because we wanted to create something that we could both be proud of and know that we built it ourselves from the ground up. We work hard and try our best to give each and every student at TIES the best possible care and attention.
The best part of my job is interacting and working with the wonderful international students who study at TIES.
